The Sur-Del Easy Does It Club Society (EDIC) facility at 7277 King George Blvd is here today in significant part due to the support of various levels of government.

With rising costs of operations, primarily rents, and diminished revenues from small club social events, EDIC has been kept financially viable through the annual BC Community Gaming Grant.  It has been increased as needed and for the past many years has been $30,000 per annum.  Without it, we would have had to shut our doors.

During the Covid years, EDIC was financially kept alive, by additional support of the Canadian Federal Government CERS Program.

In June 2023 a Federal CSRF $10,000 grant to embrace technology was awarded to EDIC through the Surrey Cares Community Foundation.

The City of Surrey reduces our Business Licence to $1.00 and has programs we can apply to for financial assistance towards programs that help our community.

All these government funds are keyed on supporting volunteers to help others.  Our mission is to help anyone who wants to recover from addiction(s) to do so and to help anyone who shares our mission.

In 12 Step Programs, we are taught that “We are not cured, what we have is a daily reprieve contingent on the maintenance of our spiritual condition.”  Step 12 is helping others.

We are grateful to the many who donate their time or money to keep our doors open.

The John Volken Foundation and the Jhajj Foundation have donated significant funds placed in term deposits, restricted to EDIC’s future home acquisition or tenant improvements.

Together we can.

Gratitude
